International Development Group Signs Racial & Ethnic Equity Pledge

Arlington, VA – International Development Group LLC (IDG) is pleased to join the Coalition for Racial & Ethnic Equity in Development (CREED). Represented by our CEO, David Snelbecker, IDG signed the Pledge for Racial & Ethnic Equity (REE). IDG is joining more than 30 nonprofit and for-profit development organizations who have publicly committed to building diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environments.

“As IDG has grown in the last few years, we have taken special care to ensure that we are building an equitable workforce,” said David Snelbecker, CEO of IDG. “We have worked closely with CREED and affiliated organizations to develop this pledge and remain accountable as we continue to conduct impactful development around the world.”

By signing this pledge, IDG is reiterating that we will:

  • Strengthen our commitments and accountability for REE within our own organization’s policies, systems, and culture starting with our US-based workplaces
  • Create practical and quantifiable standards for advancing REE in our own organization
  • Work to instill REE as a core principle in the development sector

“In order to be effective and create meaningful shifts, CREED’s REE Pledge is taking a focused view to build equity by concentrating on strengthening racial and ethnic equity within United States-based organizations,” said Indira Kaur Ahluwalia, Founder/Chair of CREED and CEO of KAUR Strategies. “CREED welcomes IDG to a learning community of like-minded organizations committed to integrating REE into how we work.”
