Supporting Private Sector Engagement

During the USAID-supported private dialogue event, Public Procurement in Armenia: The Current State and Issues, representatives of the private sector addressed the Republic of Armenia (RA) with concerns identified during the public procurement process. In response, the RA presented implemented reforms, and suggested that the private sector be actively involved in implementing reforms and finding solutions to many issues with joint efforts.

“I am convinced that the public-private dialogue will increase the efficiency and transparency of the public procurement system and will lead to the formation of an atmosphere of mutual trust,” said USAID Economic Development Program Manager, Haykanush Bagratunyan.

 

RA Deputy Economy Minister Raphael Gevorgyan, RA Deputy Finance Minister Avag Avanesyan, RA Finance Ministry Procurement Policy Department Head Sergey Shahnazaryan, USAID Economic Development Program Manager Haykanush Bagratunyan, and members of business unions and associations participated in the dialogue.
