A foundational element of the Fiscal Transparency and Accountability (FTA) framework is that good economic governance helps minimize corruption. Combatting corruption and related crimes is essential for facilitating private-sector development, investment, and job creation. Anti-corruption is a fundamental element of building financial transparency within the public sector including government officials. IDG assists governments to adopt measures and policies to combat corruption.
The EGDP conducted a comprehensive review and analysis of the legal and institutional framework of the current GOE anti-corruption strategy. EGDP finalized the two studies analyzing the legal framework governing anti-corruption, identifying gaps, and providing recommendations to the institutional framework and public institutions in Egypt at the central and local levels.
