International Development Group, LLC (IDG) is excited to announce the addition of Udunopa Abalu to its executive committee team. Udunopa joins us as the new Director of New Business Development, bringing with her a rich background of 15 years of experience in international development. In her role, Udunopa will oversee all aspects of business development at IDG, providing clear strategic direction and vision to meet the company’s new business goals efficiently.
Udunopa’s extensive record includes:
- Successfully transforming business development departments and teams.
- Directing high-value proposals to secure wins.
- Fostering impactful strategic partnerships.
She has a remarkable record of achievement at IDG, having steered more than double IDG’s total contract value win target for new business in 2023.

Udunopa holds a Master of Arts in International Trade and Investment Policy from the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and International Studies, with a minor in Political Science and Speech Communication from Iowa State University. She is also an active member of the Association of Women in International Trade.
