Shaping a Safer Future: IDG Awarded the USAID/RMDA External Evaluation of Safe Migration in Central Asia Activity

We are pleased to announce that International Development Group, LLC (IDG) has been honored with the award for the External Evaluation of Safe Migration in Central Asia Activity under the Regional Development Mission for Asia (RDMA) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract mechanism.

The IDIQ is designed to foster active engagement across all technical and support offices at USAID Missions/Operating Units throughout Asia, including implementing partners and other stakeholders. This collaboration ensures that the support and services are inclusive, participatory, and utilization-focused—a critical for the success of this Contract.

The RDMA team will conduct an external evaluation of SMICA, a five-year project that spans Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. SMICA relies on evidence-based practices and cross-border connections to fortify the mutual accountability and effectiveness of governments, civil society, and the private sector. This collective effort is dedicated to preventing trafficking-in-persons, safeguarding survivors, and advancing the cause of safe migration, as an integral part of USAID’s comprehensive suite of counter-trafficking interventions in Asia.

The external evaluation of the regional SMICA activity will be limited to its implementation in the Kyrgyz Republic. The evaluation will be conducted in the final year of the SMICA implementation, and it will:

  1. Gauge the extent to which SMICA has achieved its goals in the Kyrgyz Republic.
  2. Inform future USAID democracy and governance programming in the Kyrgyz Republic

IDG is excited to join forces with USAID and the dedicated SMICA implementing team to conduct this evaluation. We look forward to contributing to the success of this vital mission and fostering safer migration in Central Asia.
